It is funny how kids of all ages enjoy Disney and movies. When I got a copy of the Mickey Clubhouse Around the ClubHouse Wold DVD to review I was not expecting my 9 year old to be into the DVD, but to my surprise he wanted to play the DVD right away and he enjoyed the movie a lot, and I did too (insert surprised face here).
I had not seen one of Clubhouse episodes in a long time, and I can say that the DVD story will have the kids entertained as usual. On this DVD you can join Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Clarabelle, and Pluto on a fantastic trip while they climb the Eiffel Tower in France and say ''bonjour'' to Mademoiselle Daisy and Monsieur Donald Duck. Then, rescue Gondolier Goofy when he goes adrift in Italy's Grand Canal; solve the mysterious riddle of Pharaoh Pete's pyramid in Egypt, and meet a dancing dragon at the Great Wall of China. With your help - and the right Mouseketools - your Clubhouse friends can get their special passport stamped at each wonderful location. More than 2 hours of great adventures with additional episodes will prove that It's a small world after all and you can always show your #disneyside Includes a bonus FREE Passport Activity Book, and my son had a great time playing with it. Releases on DVD April 8th, 2014 Do YOU believe in mermaids? You will – when you set sail on a magical full-length adventure under the sea with Sofia the First! After Sofia helps a young mermaid named Oona, Sofia’s amulet grants her the power to transform into a mermaid and visit her new friend’s secret underwater kingdom. But when Cedric (disguised as a sea monster) plots to steal Oona’s enchanted Mermaid Comb, danger surfaces for both worlds. With a little help from special guest, Princess Ariel, Sofia embarks on an adventure to rescue Oona. Overflowing with oceans of song-filled fun – plus three more exciting episodes – Sofia the First: The Floating Palace proves that when families and friends work together, they can weather any storm and save the day! Nicolas is growing up, and we do not have a lot of time left for him to enjoy this type of DVDs, however since my brother and his wife just had a baby girl and her name is Sofia, my son was really interested on getting this DVD and seeing the story line. It is a Disney DVD, so off course the quality is great. The story and the music is very entertaining and it keeps kids interested on seeing what else is going to happen. I was so happy when I got the email that I had been selected to host a #Disneyside party. My son's birthday is on February and it was just the perfect way for us to celebrate. We love all Disney things and all the awesome things that arrived on the package were just perfect for us. When I told my son we could have a Disney party, he was very happy. He started talking about his favorite characters and rides at Disneyland. Then he came up with a wonderful idea, an idea that can only come from this child that is turning into such a great creative young adult. He wanted to have a Disney Bash with a combination of different things Disney. His picks were: Mickey, Phineas and Ferb, Star Wars and Marvel Avengers. It was a fun party to plan. I was trying to figure out what to create for each character he chose. For the main decorations it was easy. The #disneyside package had Mickey plates, cups, napkins and table cover. It was perfect to show our love for the mouse (Mickey) I remember I had some Jello's mold for Phineas and Ferb so I decided to make some chocolates. I was short of time preparation (since I have been quite busy at work), so I just went for different colors, but each one uni-color. I wrapped them on individual bags, so kids could take them home with them. I chose Avengers for the cupcakes. Fondant is easy to work with. Once the topper is created, you just need to bake cupcakes. They kids loved them Cake was vanilla with strawberry (my son's favorite) and we went for Star Wars. Dark blue represents dark side (I know we are kind of #geek here) We had our party at a Pizza place, so I did not have to worry about food. We had some pizza, hot wings and all you can eat salad. If you know me, of have seen my other posts about parties, I love being creative and making cute things for parties. So I made some desserts to share with the adults as well. It was a great celebration. We got to share our #disneyside and of course to celebrate seeing my son becoming this unique person that make me proud each day because he has such a great heart. Happy 9th Birthday Nicolas!!! Disclosure: we received some items as part of the #disneyside celebration party kit to help with the celebration, however all ideas, comments and opinions are our own.
